The client runs a high-quality Australian baby direct-to-consumer independent website, targeting young parents with scenario-based baby products. Its core business strategy is frequent new releases tied to festivals. Themed styles for Christmas, Easter and spring childhood drive quarterly sales. Nevertheless, rigid production modes of traditional factories limited the client’s operation rhythm. Long sampling and production cycles could not match fast iteration requirements of cross-border e-commerce. Quite often, finished designs could not be mass-produced and launched before festival sales windows, resulting in unsold new items, wasted marketing investment and low inventory turnover.
The client hoped to build an efficient joint R&D mechanism to pre-customize festival-themed baby clothes and matching accessories. Fast sampling, short lead-time production and small-batch flexible replenishment were required to align with cross-border festival marketing schedules. To accommodate the client’s lightweight and fast iteration model, we established a dedicated festival new product co-creation system. We communicate with the client two quarters in advance to plan themes, print patterns and color palettes combining Australian market trends and festival features. Supported by our ready stock of premium grey fabric, we simplified material preparation and cut the traditional 15-day sampling cycle down to 7 days for efficient sample confirmation and fine-tuning. We adopted flexible production supporting mixed-style small batch manufacturing of garments, headbands, socks and bibs under one theme. Production capacity can be adjusted and replenishment arranged flexibly according to online sales performance.
This solution greatly shortened the client’s new product launch cycle, enabling every festival collection to go live right on schedule and capture traffic peaks. With frequent high-quality festival releases, store activity and conversion rate improved remarkably. Risks of capital tie-up from bulk stock were avoided and capital turnover got optimized. Both parties signed an exclusive annual co-creation agreement for festival baby products.
